PRIVACY POLICY

We are happy that you are visiting our website and thank you for your interest. In the following, we will inform you about the handling of your personal data when using our website.

According to Art. 4 No. 1 GDPR, personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified directly or indirectly. Further information on this can be found, among other things, in Art. 4No. 1 GDPR

Insofar as we cite our legitimate interest or a legitimate interest of a third party (Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR) as the lawful basis for processing personal data, you have a right of objection pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR:
In accordance with Art. 21 GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of personal data at any time. We will then no longer process the personal data for direct marketing purposes or any related profiling. We will also not process your personal data for other purposes after an objection, unless we can prove compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims (see, for example, Art. 21 (1) GDPR, so-called “limited right of objection”). In this case, you must provide reasons for the objection that arise from your particular situation.
You may also object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing of your personal data for scientific or historical research purposes or for statistical purposes pursuant to Art. 89 (1) GDPR, unless the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest (see Art. 21 (6) GDPR).

We will also refer to the right of objection again separately in the individual sections (e.g. with the note: “You have a right of objection”), insofar as the right of objection exists. There you will also find further information on how to exercise your right of objection.

1. Details of the responsible entity and contact person for data protection

1.1. The responsible entity for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Beckmann Elektronik GmbH, Dieselstraße 7, 85232 Günding, Germany, Tel.: 08131 3118 0, Fax: 08131 3118 19, E-Mail: info@beckmann-elektronik.de.
1.2. The responsible entity has appointed a data protection representative who can be reached as follows: Data Protection Officer c/o, Dieselstraße 7, 85232 Bergkirchen, 08131 31180, datenschutz@beckmann-elektronik.de.

2. Processing of personal data
2.1. Log files

Each time you visit our website, we automatically collect data and information from the system of your device and store it in so-called server log files. This data is information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person (here: website visitor). The data is automatically transmitted by your browser when you call up our website. This includes the following data:

  • Date and time of access to our website (request to the server of the host provider)
  • URL of the website from which you accessed our website
  • Amount of data sent in bytes
  • Source/reference from which you reached the page
  • Type and version of the browser used
  • Operating system used
  • Type of request
  • Used IP address of your device masked (i.e. the last octet is zeroed out)

The purpose of this processing is the retrievability of our website from your device and to enable a correct display of our website on your device or in your browser. Furthermore, we use the data to optimize our website and to ensure the security of our systems. An evaluation of this data for marketing purposes does not take place.

The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR. In this context, our legitimate interest is to present you with a website optimized for your browser and to enable communication between our server and your terminal device. For the latter, the processing of your IP address is required in particular.

The data is stored for 7 days, the 8th file then replaces the oldest log file at the end of the period.

The recipient of the data is our server host, which works for us on the basis of a commissioned data agreement.

You have the right to object. You can send or inform us of your objection at any time (e.g. by e-mail to: datenschutz@beckmann-elektronik.de).

The provision of personal data is neither legally nor contractually required and is not necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are also not obliged to provide the personal data. However, failure to provide the data may result in you not being able to use our website or not being able to use it to its full extent.

2.2. Cookies

We do not use our own cookies to operate our website, only cookies from third-party providers. Cookies are text files that are stored on your local device, e.g., to enable the use of the website and/or to recognize the user’s device and to store settings or similar that are required, in particular for the do-not-track mode and obtaining a so-called cookie consent via a cookie plugin. Cookies contain a so-called cookie ID, which makes it possible to assign the device in which the cookie was stored. The user is also basically identifiable via the device, with the result that personal data is involved.

To obtain any necessary cookie consent (so-called cookie consent), we use the Borlabs cookie (borlabs-cookie); this allows us to store a cookie consent (e.g. for anonymized tracking) and to set or use the other cookies or tracking mechanisms required for this only after your consent. The cookie plugin lets you choose which cookies you want to consent to.

Insofar as personal data is also processed during the operations described, the processing is carried out on the basis of a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR, § 25 (2) No. 2 German Teleservices Data Protection Act. In this context, our legitimate interest is to technically ensure cookie/tracking consent on our website.

You have the right to object. You can send or inform us of your objection at any time (e.g. by e-mail to: datenschutz@beckmann-elektronik.de).

You can set your browser to inform you about the placement of cookies. You can also arrange for the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser window.

You can learn how to delete cookies in the most common browsers and change cookie settings here:

  • Google Chrome: Website
  • Mozilla Firefox: Websie
  • Apple Safari: Website
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer: Website

For the use of cookies from third-party providers in connection with web analysis, see section 2.3 (Tracking).

The storage period of the various cookies varies, but is no longer than two years. They are stored on your local device, not on our server, so the actual deletion period depends on how your browser software is configured. Please refer to the operating instructions of your browser software to find out how you can delete cookies set by us on an occasion-related or automatic basis.

2.3. Web analytics services

We use Matomo (formerly Piwik) in the EU cloud for web analytics, a service provided by InnoCraft Ltd, 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand, NZBN 6106769, (“Matomo”) using cookie technology (see 2.2.), which operates for us under a commissioned data agreement. New Zealand is a safe third country within the meaning of Art. 45 GDPR.
This is an open source tool for web analysis. Matomo is initially disabled when you visit our website. Only if you actively consent, your usage behavior will be recorded.
Matomo uses cookies (see section 2.2. Cookies), namely the following cookies for web analysis.

  • _pk_id* for the unique assignment of user activities and user ID
  • _pk_ses* for the unique assignment of user ID and visitor ID
  • _pk_ref* for linking source reference and visit (target page)
  • _pk_cvar* for passing user-defined variables
  • _pk_hsr* ensures that all page views of a session are captured with respect to heatmaps.

These are temporarily generated text files that are stored on your computer and enable us to analyze the use of our website.

In doing so, you as the user remain anonymous, i.e. the analysis is not personal. The usage information that Matomo generates with the help of the cookies, including your IP address, is temporarily stored in anonymized form on Matomo’s server, evaluated and then deleted (see below on storage duration). No other use or disclosure to third parties takes place.

When using Matomo, the so-called do-not-track option of your browser, which you can activate in the browser settings to generally prevent the analysis of your website visits, remains possible.
For more information on Matomo’s terms of use and data protection regulations, please visit: https://matomo.org/privacy/
In particular, the following data are processed:

  • Approximate geographic

  • Time of previous access by the user
  • Number of visits by a user

If personal data is also processed during the described operations, the processing is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6  (1) a) GDPR.

You have the right to revoke your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation. You can declare your revocation of consent to us at any time by objecting to the storage and use by clicking on the checkbox. In this case, a so-called opt-out cookie will be stored in your browser (cf. 2.2.), so that data collection by Matomo is prevented. Please note that the opt-out cookie will also be removed if you delete cookies in your browser program in the meantime. The objection may then have to be activated again.

Alternatively, you can also delete the cookie(s) via the settings in your browser (see also section 2.2). In this case, a so-called opt-out cookie is stored in your browser, with the consequence that Matomo does not collect any session data. Please note that the complete deletion of your cookies will result in the opt-out cookie also being deleted and you may have to reactivate it.

The recipient of the data is our server host and Matomo, who works for us under a commissioned data agreement.

The storage period of the Matomo cookies is a maximum of 13 months. They are stored on your local device, not on our server, so the actual deletion period depends on how your browser software is configured. The retention period is the time period during which the collected data is stored for processing. The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for the specified processing purposes.

2.4. Google Maps – Third Party Website

On our website, we use Google Maps (API) from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”) to display our location and provide directions. Google Maps is a web service for displaying interactive maps to visually display geographical information. By using this service, our location is shown to you and a possible approach is facilitated.

Already when calling up those sub-pages in which the map of Google Maps is integrated, information about the use of our website is transmitted to Google servers and stored there; this may also result in a transmission to the servers of Google LLC. in the USA (see also section 4 links to third-party websites). This involves at least the following data:

  • Date and time of the visit to the website in question,
  • Internet address or URL of the website called up,
  • IP address, (starting) address entered as part of route planning.

This is done regardless of whether you have a user account with Google, via which you may be logged in. If you are logged in to Google, however, your data will be assigned directly to your account.

If you do not want the assignment with your profile at Google, you must log out before activating our map (Google Maps). Google stores your data (even for users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and evaluates them.

We have no influence on the further processing and use of the data by Google and can therefore not assume any responsibility for this. If you do not want Google to collect, process or use data about you via our website, you can disable “JavaScript” in your browser settings. In this case, however, you will not be able to use the map display.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Google, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy in connection with the use of Google Maps can be found on the Google website (“Google Privacy Policy”): https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Insofar as personal data is also processed during the described operations, the processing is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from showing where our company is located.

You have the right to object. You can send or inform us of your objection at any time (e.g. by e-mail to: datenschutz@beckmann-elektronik.de).

The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected.

The recipient of the data is our server host, who works for us within the framework of an order data agreement.

2.5. Contact form

Personal data is collected when contacting us via the contact form. Which data is collected in the case of the use of a contact form can be seen from the respective contact form. This data is stored and used exclusively for the purpose of responding to your request or for contacting you and the associated technical administration. This includes the following data as mandatory information:

  • Those information that you enter voluntarily
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Phone number
  • Requested callback time
  • E-mail address

In addition, you can add further data as voluntary information. This may simplify and accelerate the processing of your request. The following data is potentially affected:

Mandatory and voluntary information are treated equally by us. The mandatory information is necessary to contact you and to process your request.

When you submit the form, the following data is also stored:

  • Your IP address
  • Date and time of submitting

Please note that the scope of the personal data collected in the context of the contact form also depends on the data you yourself voluntarily provide in the contact form in particular and, if applicable, disclose by attaching your documents.

Before sending the request, you will be asked via a checkbox to give your consent to the sending of the data as well as its further processing for the purposes you have requested.

The recipient of the data is our e-mail host, who works for us under a commissioned data agreement.
The purpose of processing the personal data within the scope of the mandatory information as well as the voluntary information is to process the contact request and to be able to contact you for the purpose of your request.

The legal basis for the processing of the personal data provided by you (name and e-mail address, telephone number if applicable) within the scope of the contact is Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR, insofar as you contact us for the purpose of an offer (pre-contractual correspondence).

The other personal data (such as IP address, date and time of submitting) are used to prevent misuse of our contact form. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in preventing or being able to prove misuse of our contact form.
You have a right of objection.

The provision of personal data is not required by law or contract, nor is it necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are also not obliged to provide the personal data. However, failure to provide it would possibly result in you not being able to use our contact form.

2.6. Contacting

You also have the option of contacting us by post, telephone, fax or e-mail.
If you contact us by post, we may process in particular your address data (e.g. surname, first name, street, place of residence, zip code), date and time of receipt of the mail as well as the data resulting from your letter itself.

Depending on the data you enter here, we will then contact you by phone, fax or e-mail and call you back or write to you if necessary. If you contact us by telephone, we will process your telephone number in particular and, if necessary, your name, e-mail address, time of call and details of your request during the conversation. If necessary, you may contact us by fax, so that in particular the fax number or the sender ID as well as the data resulting from the fax are processed.

If you contact us by e-mail, your e-mail address, the time of the e-mail and the data resulting from the message text (including attachments, if applicable) will be processed. The recipient of the data is our e-mail server host, which works for us within the framework of an order data agreement.

The purpose of processing the above-mentioned data is to process the contact request and to be able to contact the inquirer in order to respond to the request.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data described here is Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to offer you the possibility to contact us at any time and to be able to answer your inquiries.

You have the right to object. You can send or inform us of your objection at any time (e.g. by e-mail to: datenschutz@beckmann-elektronik.de).

The personal data will only be processed as long as it is necessary for the processing of the contact request. After that, the data will be deleted.

The recipient of the data is our server host, which works for us under an order data agreement.
The provision of personal data is neither required by law nor by contract, nor is it necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are also not obliged to provide the personal data. However, failure to provide it would possibly result in you not being able to use the option to contact us.

In a second step, you will then automatically receive an e-mail with a confirmation or activation link, which you must also confirm or activate. When you register for the newsletter, we store your IP address entered by your Internet service provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration in order to be able to trace any possible misuse of your e-mail address at a later date. The data collected by us when you register for the newsletter will be used exclusively for the purpose of addressing you in an advertising manner by way of the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided for this purpose in the newsletter or by sending a corresponding message to the person responsible mentioned at the beginning. The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. Accordingly, your registration data will only be stored as long as the newsletter order is active.

The provision of personal data is neither legally nor contractually required, nor is it necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are also not obliged to provide the personal data. However, failure to provide it would mean that we would not be able to provide you with a newsletter.

Our e-mail newsletters are sent via the technical service provider Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin, to whom we pass on the data you provided when registering for the newsletter. This transfer takes place in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f) DSGVO and serves our legitimate interest in using a newsletter system that is effective in advertising, secure and user-friendly. The data entered by you for the purpose of receiving the newsletter (e.g. e-mail address) is stored on Sendinblue’s servers in the EU.

Sendinblue uses this information to send and statistically evaluate the newsletters on our behalf. For the evaluation, the sent emails contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are single-pixel image files stored on our website. This makes it possible to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, have been clicked on. In addition, technical information is recorded (e.g. time of retrieval, IP address, browser type and operating system). The data is collected exclusively pseudonymously and is not linked to your other personal data, a direct personal reference is excluded. This data is used exclusively for the statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better adapt future newsletters to the interests of the recipients. If you wish to object to the data analysis for statistical evaluation purposes, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter.

Furthermore, Sendinblue may use this data itself in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f) DSGVO due to its own legitimate interest in the design and optimization of the service in line with demand, as well as for market research purposes, for example to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, Sendinblue does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or to pass them on to third parties.

We have concluded an order processing agreement with Sendinblue, with which we oblige Sendinblue to protect our customers’ data and not to pass it on to third parties.

You can view Sendinblue’s privacy policy here: https://de.sendinblue.com/legal/privacypolicy/

3. Duration of storage, retention periods

In all other cases, we delete your personal data with the exception of data that we must continue to store in order to fulfill legal obligations (e.g., we are required to retain documents such as contracts and invoices for a certain period of time due to retention periods under tax and commercial law).

After clicking on the link, we no longer have any influence on the collection, processing and use of any personal data transmitted to the third party when the link is clicked (such as the IP address or the URL of the page on which the link is located), as the behavior of third parties is naturally beyond our control.
